“spiralidoso” and everything falls back into place
What’s the color of the wind, of the wind that changes when it blows in from the east?
For daniela gregis it’s as blue as the night with lightening flashes of fuchsia, violet and red the promise of a storm hovering on the edge of the horizon.
The new collection is on stage, the 21st of February, at 7:00pm, at , in Via Manzoni 30, Milan.
Under the special protection of Mary Poppins and with the assistance of Carlos, painter chimneysweep musician on the big brass drum.
And so it’s called “spiralidoso”, the tail end of the famous magic formula, the final touch that changes everything back the way it was, back to normal.
And so that the magic can repeat itself everyday work therefore must be turned into play and the unforeseen into a pleasurable challenge.
Here is the Mary skirt, pleated and double face, first opening like a fan and then cascading straight down; and here the wide-meshed shawls worn as they are in Sicily or the Ale dolls, all sizes large and small, crocheted with clinging arms around the neck And here, the bottomless penny purses and the jackets, these too crocheted and fastened with safety pins.
Blues and blacks dominate in this collection, joined by accessories of fuchsia, violet and red; favorite materials, as always, are wool, cachmere, silk, and for the first time, canvas for painters.
