A protected, all enveloping feeling, the well being of stillness, without tension. Then, all of a sudden, a voice rises up, so pure and sure, that silence blends into bliss. That same voice will be singing at the Oratorio della Passione of Sant’Ambrogio, where daniela gregis is presenting her collection silenzio, once more giving the definition of dressing that doesn’t display emotions but rather, if anything, embraces them. This is an emotion in white and blue, born during a year’s sabbatical of willing reflection. They are pieces of a limited edition, no more than fifteen or twenty exemplars, essential, made mostly of linen, for all ages, the young, the mature and the wise. It’s as if the plant and time have managed to transmit to this kind of thread, more than to any other, an echo of human affairs. All the shades of blue and hues of white will be mixed with stripes and squares, while floral fantasies with cornflowers and forget-me-nots will also make their appearance. Like every year, the 20th of july dress will be presented: ankle length, with a low neckline both in front and in back, very feminine without binding. The garments will come out of a funnel-shaped basket, braided together with “remnants of the woods” and other baskets having the infinite form of an eight.
