Here she is again, daniela gregis and her dancing company, cutting, sewing, and reinventing. With a new title that has the flavour of things we find in the bottom of drawers, but at the top of our memories and of overwhelming tenderness, which pop out, almost as if by spontaneous boiling over, from an enormous crocheted bag. Pentolaccia (pinada) is a festival game, sacred and profane, a re collection which can only amaze those, who on principle or out of boredom have never gone to a fair, missing out on the smells and magic of those appointments Of improvisation: demons sacred and profane, full of holiday spirit. That's what pentolaccia brings to mind, a musical continuum of themes, arranged with wit, re created, contaminated, always the same, everyday and thus in the etymological sense of the word: original. Let's just take this knee length dress, which also has a top, and which baptizes this fashion show: pentolaccia, a cylinder of taffettas, rough cotton or shetland wool, falling and protecting every ironic Lady, ready to challenge a stonger kind of armour, to defend character and humour in elegant blues, reds, plums, and beige. Garments that in their bold simplicity, and by some psychosomatic virtue seem to disappear and become coloured substance. Now, the knit dress, ruffled, rising and falling, forming a graceful curtsey of folds along the forearms, a theory of bracelets that neither jingle nor weigh. Not to scatter, wandering through the crowd, blue egg, sets a limit to the license, to wild improvisation. Dress and coat to the knee, crocheted eclipses of blue black mohair. On the opposite side, a fan, which instead, offers the shivering of a chrysalis, a propitious beating of wings, gliding. In corduroy, fire red, brushing the ankles, with six panels all of velvet, circling them. Palette, maccheroni, and minstral are, in the end, respectively: the gloves with the thumbs of spreading colour; muffs in wool, silk, mohair and cachmere; the heraldic tights with one red leg and the other orange... blue and black, violet and green or anthracite grey and light grey...
