madio is the world next door to go back and forth from, a stash, a hiding place, as solid and subtle as memories. madio is the new fall winter collection that daniela gregis invents, using whatever there is, opening the cupboard doors, emptying and filling up wardrobes, taking out the superfluous, adding the necessary and the serendipitous. each garment is traveling along a thread of memory, containing and unraveling, like time itself, because you don’t throw old things away. instead, they are reborn, warming up our lives. reversible fabrics, spacious pockets traveling like trunks, draft stopper snakes fished out of the basket of remnants, odds and ends. from one small detail a story blooms once more and the tale picks up again, transforming the present, bringing it up to date, searching for signs of the past. ar*madio is the stage set of the fashion show, the performance accompanying the collection, opening up its doors to vision and imagination.
